Cherry Summer Sun has a well-deserved Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society on account of its hardiness in the British Isles, great-tasting fruit and attractive spring blossoms.
We recommend that you prune out one in four of the fruited branches in late summer, leaving three quarters of the branches to mature further and a quarter to be pruned to a leafy shoot further down the stem.
