This 100% specially blended peat free compost gives amazing root growth, providing the best start to seedlings with gentle sustained feed to take you through to potting. Made from sheep’s wool and bracken it is 100% natural and British.
Bracken provides naturally high levels of potash, essential for the fruiting and flowering process. It also contains significant levels of iron and magnesium to nourish strong healthy plants. Sheep’s wool ensures good water retention due to its natural hydroscopic properties and naturally high levels of nitrogen. As the proteins in wool breaks down, nitrogen is gradually released acting as a slow release fertiliser essential for abundant fruiting and flowering. Feeds throughout the growing season.
Now with added Comfrey! – the organic gardeners best friend – a ‘dynamic accumulator’ packed with nutrients is added into the Wool Compost range. Grown sustainably at Dalefoot farm, Comfrey’s ‘Bocking 14’ variety has high levels of potassium, phosphorous & nitrogen for healthy plant growth, larger flowers & bigger crops. And like the rest of Dalefoot’s range, it has been approved by the Soil Association for organic growing.
