Now, we’ve gone one better with runner bean Firestorm – so called because of its brilliant red flowers and the fact that this variety is set to create a storm as the best red-flowered runner bean.
Firestorm is an easy-to-grow climber and produces masses of flowers, which fruit well even in poor weather, high temperatures or low pollinating insect count.
In the kitchen the beans are stringless, they have all the beauty and impressive size of a classic runner with a more succulent texture closer to French beans.
